Sunday SALTER Arrested For Break, Enter & Theft

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Wingham resident with several criminal charges after he was caught this weekend breaking into a shed and a home.Shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020 Huron OPP officers responded to a possible break, enter and theft in progress on Jamestown Road. Upon arrival police located one of the two suspects still on scene. He was initially detained and once investigators checked on the property it became apparent he had broken into a home and a shed on the property. Further, it was also noticed the accused had caused damage to some of the shed windows.Additionally, a search incident to arrest found the accused in possession of a stolen lawn tractor key, along with a leather punch set.Sunday SALTER, 28 years of age from Wingham has been charged with: Break, Enter a Dwelling House with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence (2) counts, Mischief Under and Theft Under $5,000 (2) counts. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 7, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
