Repeat Offenders Arrested After Ramming Vehicle – TURNER & WITTEVEEN

(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA, ON) – On October 14, 2020 at approximately 5:00 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an attempted theft at a residence on Woolwich-Guelph Townline in Guelph-Eramosa Township.The homeowner observed two suspicious vehicles on the property at approximately 4:30 a.m. It was reported that one of the suspects was attempting to enter a parked vehicle in the driveway.The suspects fled in the two vehicles after being confronted by the homeowner. One of the vehicles, a black HONDA CRV, rammed the homeowner’s vehicle several times before fleeing the area.Both vehicles were reported stolen on the same date and have since been recovered.Abigail TURNER, 25-years-old of Guelph, has been charged with the following criminal offences;Possession of Stolen PropertyDangerous Operation of a Motor VehicleFailing to Stop at Scene of AccidentMischiefTrespass at NightFail to Comply with undertakingFail to Comply with Release Order The Accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – GuelphBenn Douglas WITTEVEEN, 26-years-old of Guelph, has been charged with;Fail to Comply with Probation OrderPossession of Stolen PropertyTrespass at Night The Accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph on November 27, 2020 to answer to the charges.
