(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA, ON) – On October 14, 2020 at approximately 5:00 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an attempted theft at a residence on Woolwich-Guelph Townline in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
The homeowner observed two suspicious vehicles on the property at approximately 4:30 a.m. It was reported that one of the suspects was attempting to enter a parked vehicle in the driveway.
The suspects fled in the two vehicles after being confronted by the homeowner. One of the vehicles, a black HONDA CRV, rammed the homeowner’s vehicle several times before fleeing the area.
Both vehicles were reported stolen on the same date and have since been recovered.
Abigail TURNER, 25-years-old of Guelph, has been charged with the following criminal offences;
Possession of Stolen Property
Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Failing to Stop at Scene of Accident
Mischief
Trespass at Night
Fail to Comply with undertaking
Fail to Comply with Release Order
The Accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph
Benn Douglas WITTEVEEN, 26-years-old of Guelph, has been charged with;
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Possession of Stolen Property
Trespass at Night
The Accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph on November 27, 2020 to answer to the charges.
