(NORTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges against two Huron County residents after they were caught shoplifting in Wingham yesterday.At approximately 12:39 p.m. on October 14, 2020 Huron OPP officers were dispatched to attend a pharmacy located on Josephine Street to investigate a complaint of shoplifting. Officers arrived on scene and upon reviewing the store video surveillance footage officers formed grounds to arrest the pair for shoplifting articles from the store. It didn’t take officers long to locate the pair as they were standing across the street from the pharmacy.Both suspects were arrested and it turned out that they were both on court conditions of release to not be around each other. Furthermore, one of the accused had outstanding warrants from other police services.Christopher KURTH, 35 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with Theft Under $5,000, Fail to Comply with a Release Order and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order. He was later released from custody with a court date scheduled for November 23, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.Angela BAILEY, 39 years of age of no fixed address has been charged with Theft Under $5,000, Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Disobeying Court Order.She was released on Huron County OPP’s charges with a court date for November 23, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
