(TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH) – On October 15, 2020 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check on Gore Road in Puslinch Township.
At approximately 10:00 p.m., a vehicle entered the RIDE check. While speaking with the driver, police observed drug paraphernalia within the vehicle. Investigation led to the arrest of the driver and the seizure of small amounts of methamphetamines and cannabis.
Police also discovered that the driver was bound by a court order which stated that they were not to be operating a vehicle.
Steven VIVIAN, 36-years-old of Bancroft was charged with:
Possession of a Controlled Substance-methamphetamine
Fail to Comply with Court Order (2 counts)
Drive Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
Driving While Suspended
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 20, 2020. Their vehicle was seized for a period of 45 days as per statute.
