Attempted Murder In Fergus

(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On October 17, 2020 at approximately 7:40 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a 911 call from a residence on Highland Road in Fergus, Township of Centre Wellington.Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 59-year-old female resident of the home, who appeared to be suffering from serious injuries. The individual was subsequently transported to a local hospital by Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services and has since been released.The victim and accused were known to each other.A 27-year-old Centre Wellington Township resident has been charged with Attempted Murder.The accused was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody.
