$50,000 Reward Offered

(KETTLE AND STONY POINT FIRST NATION) – The Government of the Province of Ontario is offering a total reward of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for the information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of 29-year-old David Jordan OLIVER of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation.

On Sunday, August 2nd, 2020, at approximately 1:30 pm, members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment, OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine were assisting Anishinabek Police Service in the search for David OLIVER. His body, along with his red Dodge Ram pickup truck, were located by police near 9356 Army Camp Road in Lambton Shores.

The OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and the Anishinabek Police Service have conducted an extensive investigation, and have followed up on a number of tips from the public. To date, the person or persons responsible for the murder have not been arrested. The investigation is ongoing and further updates will be provided as they become available.

Police are appealing to anyone with information in the murder of David Jordan OLIVER to contact investigators on a dedicated, toll-free tip line at 1-833-525-8477 in an effort to bring this case to a resolution.
